BPL guarantees the integrity of temperature‐sensitive study materials. We create individual risk assessments to ensure the optimal route of all thermal shipments for a multi‐center project in order to maintain the stability time window for study materials. During the collection of biological samples, hazardous substances or study medication our staff members make sure that the items are properly packed, labeled and prepared for temperature monitoring. All shipments are proactively monitored for immediate action against potential risks that may occur during transit, such as flight delays or cancellations. The maintenance of the temperature control during the transportation is a top priority. BPL provides packing and transportation services in temperature ranges from ‐196°C up to +40°C. If necessary, dry ice and cooling elements of our passive temperature packing systems are replenished during transit, as well as temperature‐controlled storage facilities being included in transportation planning.
